Online reviews have been becoming an ever-more-common part of consumers’ purchasing decisions. The best advert for a product or a service is its positive reviews and feedback. I was interested in creating a digital product (desktop or mobile app) for specifically rating pizza types of restaurants. By using my digital product, customers will easily be able to find the best restaurants around them that serves their favourite pizza type. My platform will be easy and straightforward to be used by customers, and a great way to promote the best pizzas locally according to type.
Discovery: Research & Analysis
I wanted to learn about how customers use digital tools to search for their favourite restaurants and understand if searching where their favourite dish is served locally will influence them in their restaurant choice, I’ve done that by arranging interviews and a survey. After carrying out the interviews and survey, I’ve included all key findings in the research report, reporting all data to support my findings and providing recommendations based on my findings.

Usability Study and Design Iteration
The intent was to include all misunderstandings, pains, frustrations, delights, ideas and comments from each usability study. My designs were iterated based on the usability results.

Accessibility
Colour contrasts were checked using WebAIM and the necessary changes were applied to pass WCAG. I iterated the design so that it is more accessible and user-friendly.
Design Performance
A total of 14 users were recruited using Lookback and asked to complete 7 tasks on Pizza Police. All feedback from users was compiled into a test insights report. By selecting two key performance indicators, I enhanced the design to improve performance and increase task success.
Pizza Police Handoff
Pizza Police was ready for development and the handoff was prepared for developers after 3 months of research, interviews, surveys, research synthesis, sketching, design, prototyping, and design iteration.
